What are we doing in English Enrichment?
The 2016-2017 school year is off to a great start! Students have been working hard, focusing on learning the routines and procedures of our classroom. We have been discussing skills and strategies that will be useful when we begin working in centers. Students have been able to:
- Review the school wide expectations of being SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and RESPONSIBLE.
- Set educational and personal goals for the school year.
- Learn about and practice using "accountable talk", a way to have meaningful and educational conversations with peers.
- Discuss and review the purpose of close reading and go over techniques.
- Build stamina for independent reading time.

Class Dojo
ClassDOJO’s mission is to reinvent classrooms by bringing teachers, students and parents closer together. I use ClassDOJO as a communication platform to encourage students, and get parents engaged too. Students can earn points on ClassDOJO for having their ID tag, completing their work each day, and following classroom expectations! Parents are also able to log in to ClassDOJO to see how their child is doing. For more information about ClassDOJO, and to access your child's points for class, please view the videos listed below. If you need the access code to monitor your child's progress in my class, do not hesitate to contact me!
